Terms of Service

1. Agreement and eligibility

By creating an account, accessing GrebKey, or using a GrebKey SDK or API, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you use GrebKey for a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization.

You must be legally able to enter into a contract to use GrebKey.

2. The service

GrebKey provides hosted tools, APIs, SDKs, and documentation for creating, validating, and managing software license keys and machine activations. Features, plan limits, and integrations may change as the service develops.

You are responsible for deciding whether GrebKey is appropriate for your software, configuring it correctly, keeping your own business records and backups, and maintaining a fallback plan for service interruptions.

3. Accounts and access

GrebKey currently uses GitHub for account authentication. You are responsible for the security of your GitHub account, GrebKey session, API keys, license keys, and any device or system that can access your account.

Provide accurate account information, keep credentials confidential, and notify GrebCo promptly if you believe your account or credentials have been compromised. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless prohibited by law.

4. Your products and data

You keep your rights in product names, license metadata, labels, and other information you submit to GrebKey. You grant GrebCo a limited right to host, process, transmit, and display that information only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve GrebKey and to meet legal obligations.

You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to submit information to GrebKey and to use license keys or machine identifiers with your own customers.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use GrebKey to violate law or another person's rights, distribute malware, interfere with or overload the service, bypass access controls or plan limits, probe for vulnerabilities without written permission, or access another account or its data.

Do not resell access to GrebKey itself or misrepresent GrebKey, GrebCo, or the service. You may use GrebKey to license software you are authorized to distribute.

6. Plans, billing, and cancellation

Free and paid plan details, usage limits, prices, and billing intervals are shown on the pricing and checkout pages. Stripe processes paid subscriptions. Taxes may be added when required.

A paid subscription renews until canceled. You can manage or cancel it through the billing controls made available in your GrebKey account. The Stripe checkout and billing portal show the applicable charge and cancellation timing.

7. Availability and service changes

GrebCo aims to keep GrebKey available but does not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available service. Maintenance, security incidents, third-party failures, legal requirements, or product changes may interrupt or limit access.

GrebCo may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features.

8. GrebCo intellectual property

GrebCo and its licensors own GrebKey, including its service software, branding, site content, and documentation, except for your data and third-party materials. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use GrebKey while your account remains in good standing.

Open-source components and SDK packages may be governed by their own license files. Those licenses control where they conflict with this section.

9. Third-party services

GrebKey depends on services provided by GitHub, Stripe, and Cloudflare. Your use of those services may also be governed by their terms. GrebCo is not responsible for a third-party service outside GrebCo's control.

10. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GrebKey is provided "as is" and "as available." GrebCo disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. GrebCo does not warrant that GrebKey will meet every requirement or prevent every unauthorized use of your software.

Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GrebCo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising from GrebKey.

GrebCo's liability is limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law. These limits do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using GrebKey at any time and may request account deletion. Cancel any paid subscription before deleting your account to prevent future renewal charges.

GrebCo may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address nonpayment, a material breach of these terms, security or abuse risk, legal requirements, or harm to GrebKey or others.

Sections that by their nature should continue after termination remain in effect, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law.

13. Changes to these terms

GrebCo may update these terms. The effective date at the top will change when an update takes effect. For a material change, GrebCo will provide reasonable notice through the service or an account contact method when practical. Continued use after the updated terms take effect means you accept them.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Washington State, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Applicable consumer-protection rights remain available where they cannot be waived by contract.
